ADO Accounts Released

Our Chartered Accountant partners RASS:Mian have signed off the 2016-2017 company year end accounts and they have been delivered and accepted by Companies House. We are pleased to see continued organic growth during this period, resulting in a turnover close to £¼ million. This means the company has moved into a different class, as an analogy, A 'village' to a 'medium sized town'!

As a community interest company, our ethics are to continue to invest into the company for the benefit of children, young people and adults in the community. The exact turnover for this period was £242,275, with a small loss of £797. This was a year where a lot of investment went into staffing and improving our Preschool and Outdoor Centre, whilst keeping our services reasonably priced to make them affordable to less fortunate or charity organisations. The results over the last seven years have seen healthy organic growth in the company, with turnover doubling every two years as follows:

Year End 2017 2016 2015
Turnover £242,275 £163,035 £122,505
Profit-Loss -£797 -£4,762 -£3,792

Company Secretary Gary McHolland-Pilcher noted, "The turnover was around the figure we expected, which with a small loss, demonstrated it was another year of growth, but also plenty of investment into our staffing and infrastructure to build towards our new three year business plan. This investment will provide the foundations for the company to move into another class of company. Perhaps as a 'City' in the future! This financial year, 2017-2018, we expect turnover to nearly double that of last year, which is a solid endorsement of our business refocus in February of this year, where we concentrated on education and healthcare services. It also bucks the trend of doubling growth every other year since 2011 and indicates the companies growth is speeding up."
