ADO Join SFG

ADO are pleased to have been accepted as members of Social Farms and Gardens. SFG is the result of a merger between the Federation of City Farms (FCFCG) and Community Gardens and Care Farming UK (CFUK). They joined together to better support and represent the farmers, gardeners and growers who run life-changing projects in our urban and rural communities.

Benefits to ADO

ADO were recommended joining SFG by our good friends at Sydenham Gardens, the charity that provides a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people in their recovery from mental and physical ill-health in Lewisham. The SFG was seen by ADO as an important organisation to be affiliated with as they can provide numerous benefits aligned to our own ethos of creating projects on our sites for children, young people and adults of all ages and abilities.

As a member we get expert advice both through the SFG and through their own community members on tap.  We can also gain access to grants and bursaries for projects and network with like minded groups and communities running similar projects. We see being part of the SFG as a stepping stone to another level for us when developing and designing land based projects in the future.
