Preschool After School Club Mentors
The Preschool After School Club Mentors role will support our current ADO Mini-Explorers Preschool Nursery Team based at The Explorers Garden in Bexley. This position would particularly suit those who want to find out more or are interested in a career in childcare or education. It would suit the typical age range of an ADO Mentor-Young Leader from 13 to 18 years old.
The role is a paid position. The rate is £4.20 per hour.
The role demands a minimum commitment of 1 After School Club Session over a full School Year. There will be a one full school term probation period. The After School Club runs from 4pm until 6pm - 2 Hours. For those interested, we are aware that the start time may have to reflect leaving your school and travelling to the Preschool. The ADO Preschool team work Monday to Fridays - 8am until 6pm.
You will supporting our Preschool team with childcare provision for Early Years children aged 2 to 5 years old. There are various duties to support the team during this busy period and more details are available on application, although essentially you will be engaged with the children or supporting some of our after school clubs including arts and crafts, media, gardening and bushcraft.
The ADO team work across many different types of services and as a volunteer you will welcomed into the team and have an opportunity to understand how the business works by volunteering for events and other sessions.
In addition the young person would get a chance to join our 'by invite only' Friday Youth Club and get a chance to join up with the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme.
