Spring-May Holiday Club Programme 2018
The Spring-May Holiday Club runs for 4 days and is packed full of great activities, plenty of outdoor fun and offers parents and carers a brilliant programme of variety and first class child care throughout the short May Holidays.
PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT BE RUNNING A RANGERS CLUB THIS MAY DUE TO MAINTENANCE WORKS
AT OUR POETS CORNER SITE. NORMAL SERVICE TO BE RESUMED FOR THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
Each day we run a completely different programme. No one day is the same! Typical of the time of year our focus is on Spring themes utilising the natural resources in the woods and open land at this time of year. We offer crafts, challenges, games and of course our live animals.
♦ Live Animals - We have over 50 species of Live Animals - Get to meet many of them on selected days
♦ Forest School - Using traditional Forest School techniques to interact and learn in the natural outdoor environment
♦ Low Ropes - Providing physical and play activities with themed challenges on our professional low ropes equipment
Mini Explorer Information (Ages 2 to Preschool 5 Years of Age)
The Easter Holiday Club provides early years childcare at our Mini-Explorers Garden Venue in Bexley for our usual Preschool Nursery parents and subject to availibility other parents whom regularly use our holiday club services. The 9 days will explore various aspects of outdoor activities for the children.
Existing customers will be able to choose all the usual session options as per the normal ADO Mini-Explorers timetable - HERE>. Please note a packed lunch and snacks will need to be provided for the Easter Holiday Club. Breakfast and After School Club light snacks will be provided for extended session bookings.
Non-Mini Explorer parents will not be able to book individual PM Afternoon or After School PM sessions, unless they are part of an Extended Full Day Session.
Young Explorer Information (Ages Reception 5 to 7 Years of Age)
We are pleased to announce that Young Explorers can now join and be registered at our Mini-Explorers Garden Venue in Bexley, which is particularly useful if they have younger siblings already attending. Existing Preschool customers can take advantage of booking their older siblings into the same sessions.
Non Mini-Explorer parents will be able to take advantage of the standard core day, AM Morning sessions with the addition of early and late club options.
Rangers Information (Ages 8 to 14)
Due to extensive maintenance works at our Poets Corner site, we will not be running a holiday club for Rangers this May.
Mini-Explorers and Young Explorers ONLY
The Spring Club will follow our normal day to day routines the children are used to at term time Preschool, except, we will over the course of the 4 days have some special themed activities with the highlights below:
♦ Tuesday 29th May - Woodland Explorer - Planting Wild Flowers, Clay Creatures. Mini-Beast Hunting, Mini Beast Animal Encounters
♦ Wednesday 30th May - Paws and Claws - Making Vegetable Soup For The Campfire, Making Bird Feeders, Double Dog Walk, Small Mammal Animal Encounters
♦ Thursday 31st May - Scales & Tails - Salt Dough Fossils, Dinosaur Den Making, Natural Painting, Reptile Animal Encounters
♦ Friday 1st May - Bushcraft Adventure - Building Mini-Fires, Popcorn on the Campfire, Build a Den, Whittling Marshmallow Sticks
- All Club Leaders Fully Qualified In Their Respective Childcare, Bushcraft, Animal Care or Forest School Qualifications
- Fully Insured - Public Liability for Animal Handling and Events
- Fully Licensed for Animal Handling through Bexley Borough Council
